Pros

some decent products and loyal clients.

Cons

no raises in 8+ years is common place, lots and lots of job complexity, too many layers of management. Commission opportunities/earnings have not kept pace with tech/software industries, they are far below the expectations of the job - knowledge, sales skills, negotiations requirements, etc. Earning less in commissions now than 20 years ago for similar performance. Lots of turnover. Too many cronies stacked at the top, many with questionable performance over the years, missed plans, limited experience, etc. Sales territories change constantly even though the sales cycles can easily run 12 to 36 months. Too many competing sales channels selling the same products, competing against the direct sales organization with pricing and contract terms unavailable to the direct sales force.

Pros

Anyone can get hired to work here as long as you can pass a drug test and haven't had a felony within 7 years which means they are only attracting bottom of the barrel employees. If you become friendly with the SBU-level managers, then you are guaranteed a promotion no matter how poorly you perform: favoritism prevails.

Cons

The company has an extremely high turnover rate because they believe there's always someone else willing to step in and replace the departing employee. Employees are regularly lied to and told performance reviews and raises are coming however Xerox never delivers on the promise. HR complaints are only addressed if they involve race or violence. Sexual harassment is the norm. No opportunities exist for employment advancement. No training is provided to move-up in the company. Investors should be aware that SBU-level and above management are not held accountable for their actions, and they are eating the company alive from the inside out pilfering profits and destroying infrastructure.

Pros

Hours are great, off by 6:00pm

Cons

Training was a joke....after "training" they want you to perform with very basic knowledge. There is never ANY follow through on anything management says. I was pretty optimistic in the beginning...but that all changed the 4th day of training.
