Pros

I've been very fortunate to work for highly talented managers and with smart, fun teammates.

Cons

Upper management almost universally arrogant and completely out of touch with the fact that companies succeed because they're able to employ top talent, provide competitive salaries with at least semi-regular merit increases & decent benefits. I've been here 7 years and have received a onetime 3.2% pay increase. That was during the ONLY year in which the higher-ups approved companywide merit increases. In those 7 years I've endured and survived 5 major staff reductions. My first team, in creative services, was cut in half twice in three years. Very oppressive atmosphere. Extremely middle-manager heavy. It's virtually impossible to innovate.

Pros

Great camaraderie between colleagues and lots of social events to help people bond. Middle management shield employees from wrath of senior executives too far removed from the business.

Cons

Declining compensation year over year. In my third year they reduced my commissions by 40%. When you lose an account, they charge you the original commissions on the deal even if you didn't sign the original contract. They push employees to sell their most profitable products even when the solution isn't a good fit for the customer. They encourage reps to refinance existing leases into longer terms with less expensive equipment. This allows them to finance a new deal for a lower monthly payment but the customer pays interest on interest and employees are trained on how to disguise this! This is one of the least ethical companies I have ever encountered. Sales contests are geared towards upper management by making the targets impossible for sales reps but all senior management is able to attend.
