Pros

Great sales training and peers. Ability to learn new concepts, views and directions. The Xerox name will help in future job searches and brings your résumé further after you have punched the Xerox ticket and retained the training.

Cons

The ship has been sinking with the rate of runaway employees at an all time high in all departments and magnified in sales. Compensations have been reduced year over year with capped commissions. Illegal maneuvers including clawbacks for uncontrollable competitive loss. Majority of the sales force has been reduced to under one year. Cancellation of pay increases for 4 of 5 years, spending freezes and other obstacles to complete your job.

Pros

Excellent long term vacation benefits. Casual work environment.

Cons

Lack of visibility and growth. No conception of what quality work is and who does it. Impossible schedule typically slip, no one is responsbile. "Pay for performance" is a joke. Attempted to outsource most of the engineering functions (perhaps they realize they don't know how to manage engineering). Lack of vision and focus. The "core competencies" (mechanical engineering/optics) they eliminated to try to focus on their "core incompetency" software.

Pros

Recognized Fortune 500 company. Technology products are the best in the industry

Cons

Due to the continuing downsizing of employees across the board, it is hard to do the core responsibilities of the job you were hired to do. Basically employees have to do the work of 4-5 employees (the ones who are no longer there). Low morale due to constant IVIF's. The only employees who make money or get raises are the executives (VP's and above). Really sad as it was a great place to work.
