Pros

The plus about working for Xerox was that it was close to home for me and that the pay wasn't half bad considering I had been out of work for awhile

Cons

Dealing with customer who scream, swear at you and call you names. Not to mention they will change your schedule at not even a weeks notice knowing that it conflicts with other personal things that you do not have the power to change. Then use the points against you.

Pros

was making good money, was getting better

Cons

As soon as I brought an issue to my team lead's attention, days later, I was called into the manager's office, not about the issue with their system fail, but to question me why it was that I was getting faster, and better. Days later I was accused of tempering with their system and was terminated. I was never told what it was that I had done exactly with their system or shown proof of their "findings". I was the one who noticed something wrong with their system and how employees' volume of work was not being calculated correctly. I am sure this is why they terminated me and also because I was making good money probably more than team leads. Other issues: not enough parking spaces, too much overtime(including saturdays and sundays), building is too small, each little room fits maybe 14 employees, I got sick during flu season 3 times in two months because there is no ventilation and the virus just goes around in the room and we are not allowed to open the door, so yes, everyone was sick all the time. Temperature was either too cold or too hot, never comfortable. Breaks count against you, every time you stop keying, and when the system is slow or freezes, your pay rate goes down.

Pros

It was a good place to get work experience for those who are just starting out. Better pay than fast food, and insurance was pretty good. Almost always busy doing something. Opportunity to move up if the right people like you.

Cons

High turnover rate because management didn't appreciate hard workers. They pile tons of extra work on the hard workers as "reward" and expect you do make no mistakes. Don't even raise the pay when you are handling the workload of 2+ people. They also liked to play favorites. If you were well-liked or were known to make a scene when disciplined then the rules didn't apply to you, but if you are quiet, do your job well, and mind your own business you will be wrote up the first time you don't follow the rules exactly. It was also chaotic. If the company had a new job come in, they told you the basics and left you to figure it out on your own. This normally wouldn't be a big deal, but in call center type work, where the customer service is the most important thing, it makes it very hard for the customer to believe you know what you are doing and come out with the desired results.
