Pros

The people are fantastic, you get to know them like family. Quite chilled, no major stresses if you do things right. Management don't tend to bother you to much. Fairly good career program.

Cons

Cut backs cut backs cut backs! Upper management (company directors) genuinely do not care about its staff, you know the people who are actually the face of the company. No loyalty benefits anymore, near min wage, management over worked and stressed, equipment out dated, little appreciation shown for hard work. More and more expected with less and less resources and incentives. 10 years working here and it was great until dave Lewis took over. Shutting key customer departments down, making redundancies, no full time positions, just 0-6 hour contracts. I could go on. Not the place it used to be. Stay well clear if you have any sense :)

Pros

•Staff discount (10% off) •Flexable hours •Colleges were lovely •Pay is decent

Cons

•Worst management I've seen in a while. •Staff discount only offered after 6 months •Not much overtime available •Unsocialable hours (6am starts) •Short shifts •Managers moan about pick rate (how fast you pick up shopping) •Managers seem to care more about how fast you pick rather than the quality •Managers seem to have unrealistic pick rate expectations •WARNING- If you're not used to walking and bending down a lot, you WILL have a lot of pain in your back and legs.

Pros

Flexible working samples of foods Some managers holiday time (26 days including personal day) Role can be enjoyable

Cons

this is the second major redundancy they don't listen to their colleagues hierarchical competitive/untrustworthy base salary is good but never get a pay rise regardless of end of year reviews bonuses are tiny (3-4% if work level 1 or 2) undervalued
