Pros

Opportunities for advancement exist and if you are going to manage in quick service restaurants, Subway is a good choice. Stores are cleaner due to their being no fried foods and most do not have drive-thru service allowing you to focus on the customer experience inside the restaurant.

Cons

Management support can be inadequate depending on the ownership. Some owners do not have assistant managers in place at all, placing responsibility on the manager for all shifts. Pay and benefits are not as good as McDonalds.
