      Pros

      The people are really great and you get a lot of opportunity to take on responsibility, as long as you demonstrate that you have the ability.

      Cons

      I didn't have a chance to get to know people in other divisions. It would be nice if they coordinated more activities between divisions.

      Great people at work and at play - numerous ocassions to interact at work as well as socialize outside of the job. Concertered effort to train and offer support when required.

      Cons

      Internal information technology is under staffed or not prompt to reply or to fix isses especially in the most critical time of the month when deadlines need to be met

      Standard chartered bank is a global bank. it has a great reputation. the leadership is sound. The direction in which the bank wants to take itself is clear. They want to be big in Asia which is makes a lot of sense as there is where the growth is going to come from in the decades to comes. They also have a great sense of community. The team work is also great and enables you to learn things quickly. Overall the environment of the bank is wonderful.

      Cons

      staff turnover is high. the internal corporate structure is complicated.
