Pros

It was a good place to work in terms of a work life balance. Reasonable hours and pay was reasonably competitive

Cons

No real prospect of moving on from position or for career advancement. The roles are too defined and there is a non existent HR process

Pros

SCB used to be known as a bank where ex-Citi people go to when they want to settle down and have kids. This may be less true now, but the culture is generally less cut-throat compared to Citi or HSBC.

Cons

Base pay and bonus lag behind other international banks, more comparable to local banks
