Pros

Good salary, higher than market compared to other IT/technical firms. Good benefits: medical, annual leave are higher /better than others companies of the same grade. For technologies, different groups are open to try on different technologies as long as they are approved.

Cons

Many projects rely on integrating pre-existing products, limiting opportunities for innovation. Navigating the bank's vast and ever-changing internal documentation system adds significant overhead to every project. Effective communication with senior team members is crucial for success. However, I've observed instances where personal preferences or biases might unintentionally impact interactions within the group. For example, I recently encountered a situation where a request I submitted took five business days to reach the appropriate approver. Unfortunately, my request was immediately declined without any verbal communication or explanation. This experience highlights the importance of clear communication protocols and transparent decision-making processes within the organization.

Pros

Work/life balance. Generally good colleagues

Cons

Data restrictions made the basic job tasks impossible. Leadership based in USA or UK and too focused on cost cutting and hiring of mediocre people to do the work in Poland or India etc. Minimal office space in London now. Overly focused on the share price and cost cutting while at the same time not fully learning the compliance failures of the recent past
