Pros

HR was top notch! Training of Managers A+++ Good Benefits. Customer service was easy to execute. A great team atmosphere.

Cons

Managers received more training then employees. Expected to work in areas of hospital with little to no training. No recognition for hard work. Wonder why sodexo rep that comments to these reviews never explains about no recognition and why that does'nt reach CEO or others to change.

To address your comments about recognition, I'm sorry that this situation occurred in your unit. While each account may have its own ways of recognizing and celebrating hard work, we do receive quite the opposite feedback from a great number of employees who find that the recognition and thanks is one of the best parts of the job. For current employees who may feel the same, I recommend working with others at your unit-level to come up with new ways to celebrate each others' accomplishments and create a culture of recognition.

Pros

Sodexo offers opportunities for go-getters without college education to move up throughout the Vacation and sick leave are separate and generous. Charitable and volunteering opportunities abound.

Cons

Health and life insurance are limited and expensive, salaries can be low. Lots of extra hours are required, although the company pays lip service to work-life balance. The major con is that constant, bewildering reorganizations and swiveling policies make for an extremely stressful environment without trust.
