Pros

Good salary, some truly great leaders, some opportunity to craft the career path you want

Cons

Extremely unclear strategic direction from leadership, unengaged managers who are impossible to set meetings with (not all but some), client opportunities do not come up frequently, can be stuck on the bench for months without much idea of what to do or when you'll be assigned to a client, people frequently just don't respond when you ask them something

Pros

- Good work/life balance for the industry - Lots of motivated, smart, and nice people who hold up the company culture but are unfortunately often discouraged into either complacency or exit - Annual 3 day retreat - very well planned, very fun, and a great opportunity to meet coworkers in different business units / geographies - Great foresight from upper management, both in terms of business development and recession/pandemic planning

Cons

- Not a lot of lateral mobility - They just cut everyone's annual PTO by 7+ days, presented it a good thing, and refused to explain why - <=10% Annual Bonuses - Expensive healthcare plan with horrible coverage - Stingy expense policy

Pros

Lots of bright-eyed consultants hoping to have a positive impact. Good intellectual dialogues.

Cons

Little readily available support when faced with tough client situations. Blame cast on consultant, not infrastructure of support and guidance. Breadth of offerings and number of acquisitions creates unclear corporate identity/culture. New operating model transition ambiguous and new reporting relationships poorly communicated, and jarring. Some junior consultants thrown in over their heads, not supported, and feel underappreciated or blame themselves.
