Pros

I enjoy working with my team a lot. Just know that everyone is sassy, so nothing is personal until you make it.

Cons

Operations associates are essentially cashiers (I worked at a smaller location) and things don't always get done. Also, if you want to grow in this company, expect to take the long way up the corporate ladder depending on what you want to do. Sephora doesn't care enough to have much of a budget for growth in my opinion.

Pros

Fun job if you have good coworkers, but the good folks don't usually last because of poor management and leadership.

Cons

The company consistently reduces employee perks and benefits while purporting to be "employee invested" in order to provide the "best in-store client experience" to stand out against competitors. How are BAs meant to provide a positive store experience when they're constantly hounded about metrics and other arbitrary choices made by corporate employees who have no idea what the store experience is actually like?

Thank you for your feedback and time with Sephora. We understand your concerns around leadership, total rewards, and the pressure tied to metrics. Your feedback about the disconnect between communications from leadership and the in-store experience will help us bridge that gap. Thank you again for sharing your feedback as we continue to show up better for our customers and team members.

Great place to work

Pros

Supportive team environment, strong training programs, and plenty of opportunities to learn about skincare and makeup. Management usually provides helpful feedback, and the employee discount is a big perk. A good place to build customer service and product knowledge.

Cons

Workload can get heavy during peak seasons, scheduling can be inconsistent, and sales goals sometimes feel demanding. Standing for long periods can be tiring, and customer volume can be overwhelming on weekends.

Thank you for taking the time to share a thoughtful review. We truly appreciate the care you put into outlining both what worked for you and where you saw opportunities for improvement. You really nailed it when it comes to what makes Sephora Life great. When you step into the Sephora fold, you instantly feel the support of your teammates and leaders around you. At the same time, Sephora provides comprehensive training, learning opportunities, discounts, and training products to keep you a leader in beauty. We also appreciate your feedback around peak-season workload, scheduling consistency, and the pressure that can come with sales goals and high customer volume. These are important considerations, and your suggestions around clearer communication, adequate staffing, and recognition for hard work are especially helpful as we continue refining how we support our teams during busy periods. Thank you again for your feedback and for being part of the Sephora team. ❤️
