Pros

if you need money for the holidays and are prepared to abandon your family to get it then this is the place for you

Cons

Where do I begin.... I agree with the employee above. They micromanage you like crazy and hardly ever have anything positive to say. no matter how well you work its always you need to go faster. In my opinion their "numbers" are impossible to hit. Nothing makes sense at this company..one person gets fired for missing a couple days or talking to much and there are people that still work there who have missed alots of days and been reprimanded for numerous things and are still employed with sephora. Also they compare your numbers with other workers who have been there for years or depending on what products you are picking you are naturally going to pick slower but they still expect you to meet the same quota as everybody else. I think its a big joke..its nothing but a popularity contest. If the big bosses like you, you can get away with more if they don't they will look for reasons to fire you. You can show up everyday on time and do your best and it's never good enough. Terrible management is the biggest problem.

Pros

-Great benefits -Fantastic brand trainings -Office parties

Cons

-It's insanely rare for someone to be promoted/move up within the company. If you're stuck in your role don't expect a promotion within the next decade. -High turnover rate. -No efficient use of time. Maybe if people stopped spending half their day painting their nails and placing orders things would get done. A lot of the corporate employees seem to forget that they're at work and not at the spa. -No more WFH. A few slackers destroyed this privilege so now the entire team must suffer. -Lots of office politics. If you're in a department that is deemed 'below' another don't expect to get a hello or even a smile. -Odd practices...everyone on the marketing team has zero experience in makeup application. The entire call center is makeup certified...yet they never utilize the artists/hair stylists. Rather they take looks on themselves which is always a trainwreck. -Dated practices. They still use a community fourm board...and have little to nothing on their vine account. -Salaries are measly. We get an end of the year bonus...but I'd forego that for a $2-3 pay increase any day.
