Pros

A few great things about Sephora are ;Work, life, balance. Good pay, a lot of education and gratis. The customers are really nice too, my experience was q good one.

Cons

The cons would be mostly that you can not move up in the store you are in, hours are based on sales from the previous week.

Pros

Sephora values and invests in their employees providing extensive and effective training. The greatest attributes are the opportunities to advance and the many different career choices and directions you can take within the company. Sephora also pays exceptionally well despite it being a retail job. The gratis is a GREAT perk. Lots of free products.

Cons

There aren't many downsides to working at Sephora. At times I feel underpaid for the amount of responsibilities I have, but understand that I am getting the experience and knowledge I will need in the future in my field.

Pros

Sephora employees receive extensive training on the products sold there. There are trainings in New York and San Francisco as well as in-store trainings by individual brands. At all of these trainings you receive gratis. The amount of free product you receive through Sephora is astounding!

Cons

One of the biggest problems I had with Sephora was their utter lack of concern regarding shoplifters. Sephora has a return policy that can be easily taken advantage of, basically they take anything back. No matter if you have a receipt or not, if the product is used, if the product is old, etc. you can return it. People would come in and grab product right off the shelves, steal it, then return it at another Sephora location. In fact, someone could actually witness someone steal in front of you and not do anything! Besides the shoplifting issue, Sephora management was pretty ineffective. Also the whole work-life-balance philosophy of theirs is a joke!
