Pros

The company gives you a lot of time to learn on the job. There is almost no pressure, especially for student workers.

Cons

If you are really good, I think the opportunities are quite limited. This company is probably for those people who want little stress and an average salary by industry standards. The other discouraging thing, people who are totally incompetent at the job are still retained and kept at the same salary as a performing worker. This is especially true for student jobs.

Pros

It is a great starting company as a fresher. Since we get to work on new tools and methodologies. The great skill we get to learn is people management. As there are managers and group leaders who behave like retards, it is really fun to manage people and learn the politics which will help us in climbing the corporate ladder. New MD is a great person in fact and he will take the organization to greater heights.

Cons

As I said before the managers and group leaders are retards especially in the Technical Publications department. There is a lot of unprofessional-ism going around. Managers are not able to identify the talent of an employee correctly. They have monopolized the whole department, since they have been here for a longer period.

Pros

Once and if you get your foot in the door, the company offers a lot of upward mobility. Very good benefits.

Cons

The company tries to do too much with too little; not enough tooling, not enough support (lack of supervisors and planners), taking "lean" to the extreme, not enough parts on-hand to accomodate deadline goals, too little head-count (constantly working OT during the week and weekends). Departments do not work together; too much animosity between them. The US plant has to depend on France to provide parts which don't always come in on a timely basis. Way too much time spent on filling out spreadsheets to repor numbers daily. Too many reporting/tracking systems to keep up with.
