Pros

The most important part of any job is the people you work with. The legal department here has outstanding people. I also work with other teams at Riot and, by and large, the people are terrific, smart, and capable. The perks here are fabulous. I have lawyer friends who work at other game studios in Southern California and I'm quite certain I have it the best!

Cons

Rapid growth means that the support structure hasn't always caught up to the number of employees or scope of operations. But this is part of being at any exciting, high-growth company.

Pros

People that work here are very valued. It's a great campus and there's a great, creative vibe. Riot really takes care of its people and has a great interest in making sure everyone feels part of the work that goes on.

Cons

That inclusivity can sometimes slow the process of creating new things down tremendously, hamstrings good ideas by involving far too many people than are necessary up front, and giving everyone the feeling that their opinion is as equally valid as someone else's when, in some cases - due to expertise or experience - it just isn't.

Pros

Continues to be a place with strong cultural identity with a huge amount of energy and camaraderie. Experimentation is still embraced in spite of growth and this is leading to novel organizational structures that are already paying dividends. This kind of agility at this scale is still something Riot should be very, very proud of.

Cons

We still have isolated pockets of leadership that are overstretched, undertrained and wearing too many hats (acting as bosses). Though rare, when things go wrong for the Rioters these leaders support, they really go awry. It's likely our biggest point of improvement.
