Good benefits. Lots of really nice, professional, friendly people to work with.

Cons

Very poor communication across the board. Senior management are often out of their depth. No investment in staff; profits are ploughed into acquisitions (which are often ill-advised). Unwilling to allow flexible working despite paying the lowest salaries in the industry and being headquartered in the UK's most expensive postcode. No coherent plan and no support for team and department managers, leading to systemic problems across the board.

You get to know the translation industry and how it works You can meet some like -minded people

Cons

Management are negative and can behave very unprofessionally Have witnessed and been subject to bullying and targeting behaviour Workload is very heavy and monotonous! If mistakes are made, management will find a way to blame those in lower positions Communication between and within departments is poor No chance for progression - managers are very comfortable in their positions and are getting rid of their own work to disable progression of their team members.

Staff is underpaid Mass layoffs impacting “high cost” countries (US). Low job security if not in a “low cost” country. Senior Management has lost touch with the brand’s identity and market value. Individuals above VP level seem completely out of touch with the operations teams.
