Pros

We get lunch/snacks in the pantry

Cons

Things at QAD have changed a lot since the new CEO, Sanjay, joined, and not in a good way. Employees are now required to come to the office 4 days a week, and office hours are tracked very strictly. We are expected to complete 9 full hours in the office, and even being a few minutes short (like 8 hours and 58 minutes) is marked as a half day. This feels harsh and unnecessary. Work pressure has increased a lot. Deadlines are often unrealistic, and people are constantly stressed and exhausted. Despite all this, there was no annual salary hike, and employees were told that they “do not deserve it.” This has badly affected morale. Most meetings still happen online on Google Meet, even though Mumbai employees are asked to travel long distances and carry their laptops to the office four days a week, which doesn’t feel practical or meaningful. In the office, many people are tired from the daily commute and openly complain to each other. But very few speak up to management because they are scared of losing their jobs. On top of this, the company has laid off very experienced employees, including people with 25–30 years of experience who helped build the product. This has made many employees worried about the future of the company.

Thank you for your candid feedback. We hear your frustration regarding the strict attendance tracking, increased workload, and recent structural changes. QAD is currently navigating a "critical period of rapid transformation" as we aggressively modernize from legacy systems to a Cloud and AI-first model. We acknowledge that shifting our culture from "Reactive Firefighting to Proactive Execution" has created a high-pressure environment and required difficult decisions regarding our workforce. While our goal with the return-to-office policy is to improve collaboration during this pivot, we do not want it to come at the cost of morale. We encourage you to reach out to HR directly so we can discuss where specific tracking policies are becoming counterproductive.

Thank you for your feedback. As a Product Manager, your perspective on our strategic direction is critical, and we want to address your concerns regarding leadership and industry experience. We are currently navigating a significant pivot under new leadership, moving from a legacy on-premise focus to a "cloud-first" and AI-driven model. We recognize that during this transition, the shift from "Reactive Firefighting to Proactive Execution" can sometimes feel like a lack of direction, but the goal is to prepare QAD for a sustainable, high-growth future. Regarding the sentiment that leadership lacks industry experience: We have recently brought in senior leaders specifically for their deep domain expertise in the ERP and B2B ecosystem. We are actively investing in bridging the gap between high-level vision and day-to-day execution. This includes opening new leadership roles and ensuring product roadmaps are executed with precision. We would value the opportunity to hear your specific thoughts on where the product roadmap is missing the mark. Please consider reaching out to HR so we can discuss this further.
