      Pros

      The attendance policy is extremely lax because they have such a hard time keeping peope

      Cons

      The main software we have to use is decades old, and we have to switch between a mashup of 10 other pieces of software to get anything done. The company is extremely disorganized and chaotic. They talk about culture but do nothing about it. Customers are unhappy because their payroll keeps getting messed up

      Cons

      Supervisors are very toxic here. Paychex preaches flexibility and the modern work life, yet only certain positions and departments can be WFH. Even though we have all been WFH for 2 years due to COVID and productivity never dropped. The raises are not good. Almost any company pays better. Just save yourself the trouble and look somewhere else. Waste of time.

      Pros

      The people at Paychex are the best! After leaving 5 years ago, I am still friends with many, many of the people I used to work with. I also have been approached by several recruiters over the years, specifically because I have Paychex on my resume. It is absolutely a great learning experience, particularly for classic sales training, and a solid stepping stone in a career.

      Cons

      I am a firm believer that if you are money-motivated, consultative sales person, there are better jobs to increase your earning potential. For reference, the first job I got after Paychex tripled my earnings. I have zero regrets about my time at Paychex, and the decision to leave
