Pros

Salary 401k Pension Healthcare benefits

Cons

Many leaders in ED or higher roles are just in it for themselves. I have personally experienced bullying, incivility, and yelling between leaders in meetings. I have had leaders treat me and people in our meetings as children, reprimanding them, embarrassing them. And I, along with others, have filed formal complaints about this behavior and it seems the only response that has been given is - we'll coach the offender. It also feels like the organization makes things much easier for men. There are very few women in leadership roles and the caliber of women in LT feels much higher than any of the men. I know of several EDs who lack the experience to head their technical departments, yet they were hired - with no one else being interviewed. The most recent re-org was intending to correct many of these culture issues but little was done to put leaders in place who are empathetic, supportive, and lead to develop their teams. Unless you're getting a life-changing amount of money and you're planning on staying here only 12-18 my months - DON'T JOIN THIS ORGANIZATION

Pros

Novartis is a good company in general - just don’t start working in Procurement in NGSC Prague. Pluses: home offices, vacation days, sick days, salary, other benefits (multi sport card, workshops, trainings...).

Cons

Bad senior management in procurement (very bossy, not really experienced, presentations and image are everything, knowledge itself it is not really important, they are picking their favourites and those people are everything, visibility is the most important thing). Also they lie to your face all the time. They are extremely hypocritical (senior management and some team leads in procurement) and they don’t seem to realize that they should change their dictators leadership methods and alao hire more people for some teams. It is very toxic work environment.

Pros

ok salary and above average benefits, good home office policy

Cons

This company turned out to be a huge disappointment. For me it went a little bit like this: 1. Recruitment process - you receive an email with instructions how to answer questions in line with the ridiculous company requirements and some kind of made up ideology. Forget about being yourself, follow the rules as you jump through 3 rounds of interviews. 2. First days in the company - you find out that the department you just joined is being handed over to an outsourcing company and your newly accuired postion at Novartis will soon disappear. 3. First weeks in the company - you realize that there are no training materials available to help you as a newcomer and you struggle to get any iformation + you realize that the place is really messy and unkept, kitchens are overflowing with dirty dishes, people are scared of using dishwashers. Not to mention all the broken equipement, misspelled names, mafunctioning software. 4. Few months into your new role - you are informed that you are being sold to the outsourcing company, if you don't want to you can quit or look for an internal position, which brings us back to point 1. In this case the recruitment process is either non-existent as your applications are being ignored or you spend a lot of time in interviews that bring 0 results. I have nothing to say about senior management/ CEO and all of the bosses as they are not a part of employees lives in any way. There is no such thing as team spirit/ company spirit, everybdy seems distant and disconnected from one another
