Cons

- Controlled Enviroment - Timed bathroom breaks - schedule changing weekly - Supervisors on the web or playing with their phones. Not a good example when the rest of the floor is working hard - Favoritism

Hi – Thank you for submitting your review. Yes, we offer many benefits that employees are happy to enjoy. By the way, all products we provide our employees, including the machines, are new; we have not provided refurbished machines for several years now. The Customer Relationship Center (CRC) requires a solid organizational structure and operational ground rules to provide the 24/7 world class service we pride ourselves on. These business practices are common to all customer service centers in the US. We have heard from many employees who worked in call centers in the past that our business practices at the CRC do provide a great deal more flexibility than our market competitors. Regarding your comments on the supervisors, I agree with you that we must all role-model the same behaviors. If you are feeling this is not happening, please come forward by calling our confidential employee help-line at 888-424-2409 and providing specific facts about your experience. Pros

Great company, excellent perks, awesome people. Work atmosphere is dynamic. The organization is filled with people pushing the brand and culture forward. Through the ups and downs of business cycles, the Nespresso USA remains steadfast in our commitment to the brand.

Cons

HQ in Switzerland has far too much control and influence over the market micro managing large and small scale projects. As a result, many initiatives are stalled in the development phase due because approval must from from HQ. Best people aren't always allowed to succeed and diversity at the management level (middle and senior) feels non-existent.

Hello – Thank you for your post. I’m glad you are pleased with many aspects of the brand, company and its employees. Being happy with your work environment and colleagues is very important. Our working partnership with HQ is important to us. Over this past year, we have experienced more flexibility and speed in execution when launching promotional and digital initiatives. Both teams are working more efficient to deliver the Nespresso brand to the US market. The teamwork partnership is an ongoing process that does involve effort and compromise on both sides. In terms of internal communications, we are publishing a great deal of content on the Employee Portal including monthly sales dashboard, communications about business initiatives, and people announcements. Additionally, in the month of October, we held two conferences including an all-employee NYC metro Town Hall to share information about the brand, business and people. If you are not seeing this information, please speak with Mim Britton, Manager Internal Communications, and she can share with you a tutorial of the options available. I appreciate you want to be more engaged and involved with the organization, particularly since you are new to us. Please come forward and speak with your ManCom member or me. Over the past nine months, I have visited many boutiques and met with our Coffee Specialists to obtain insight about their daily activities and interactions with our customers. Actually, our coffee specialists and management have provided me with very useful information to better serve our employees and customers, on a local and national scale.
