Pros

Fantastic perks through the screenings and loads of freebies. Cool work environment and passionate people. The name brings in talent but the IT department is run by the most shocking management I have ever seen in my 20 years working in technology departments. arrogant management teams spend their time playing golf in the office or creating excuses to travel far and wide. Staff who are responsible for operations get overloaded while management chill out and boss around the juniors. Disgusting.

Cons

When the new management took over . They spend your companies hard earned cash on themselves with MacBooks and iPads and every gadget then they tell you they have no budget for staff below management. Our operations will be stuck in the 80s style management. Feel so sorry for apprentices who are stuck on the desk and never taught a thing, I'm now looking for a new job now, I've had enough and tired of telling my manager of the issues and he just says, it's out of my hands nothing we can do!

Completely chaos

Pros

Zero, none that I can think of

Cons

This place is now turned into a completely nightmare for IT professionals, and is becoming a hub for outsourcing IT staff. No one cares employees as anytime they can outsource to vendor to do the job. The turnover rate of employee is skyrocket, many teams have none employee but IT contractors. Inevitably, some teams’ manager will favor IT contractor over employee. Sometimes during meeting, non-English conversation can be heard regardless people understand or not. Upper management does not care about either. I had a one-on-one meeting that’s been rescheduled more than 10 times and guess what happened at last, it’s CANCELLED. One of my managers will do nothing but forwarding emails or delicating work out. There is no sense of recognition in terms of your assigned work and just throws stuff at you.   If you want to burn out fast, work in toxic environment, tolerate incompetent upper managers, or like to watch peacock, then this is ok to stay for less than 1 year. There is no growth here in whatsoever.

Pros

NBCUniversal broadcasts moments that shape our culture: whether its the Olympics, Golden Globes or the Election, working at NBCU means working on culture-defining projects - which is very cool

Cons

every team has its own sub-culture which means that there's no consistency on what's expected of each level and who gets rewarded. depending on who your executive leader is, you will be appreciated for a job well done or made to feel that whatever you do isn't good enough. Some teams have an always on culture where you're called out for being slow to respond to emails on weekends or summoned back to work during paid parental leave (which is only 2 weeks).
