Pros

Great name in the marketplace Competitive products Flexibility in schedule You decide who your customers are Compensation in line with market

Cons

Just some downsides in general as a financial advisor: commission based late nights depending on clients management makes the job seem easier than it actually is and does not accurately describe the pay structure

Pros

Walnut Street Securities provides an excellent gateway for independent advisors. Excellent support from the back office and immediate attention is provided when problems arise.

Cons

The main issue with being involved with an independent brokerage firm is the lack of benefits or discounts available with group coverage. This is the downside inherent with being a contracted employee.

Pros

A great place to learn a craft. Very low pressure. Management as a whole was very very good. The people were very friendly and helpful. Great training programs. Very very flexible.

Cons

Salary was low due to the location being in the suburbs. Place seemed to placate medicore workers and were very careful as not to upset anyone, ever. Limited career advancement.
