      Flexible hours, great setting and appropriate salaries.

      Cons

      It will vary from one department to another, but a common complain in my department is that there is not enough research being done. Most projects are consulting jobs.

      Molecular Foundry is a tremendous place to work

      Pros

      The Molecular Foundry is a great place to work, and LBNL is pretty great employer. Benefits are good. Life/work balance is openly supported in most parts of LBNL and definitely at the Foundry. I felt very supported during my maternity leave and as a working mother. The location is *beautiful.* The majority of people are friendly and brilliant. The science is off the charts. I love it there.

      Cons

      The cafeteria sucks. There are definitely a few challenging personalities to contend with. Getting there on public transport is really slow. Parking can be difficult.
