      Pros

      Close to campus-frequent shuttle to bring you up the hill Awesome hands on experience performing research Provides an opportunity to participate in world class work Decent pay for a student Amazing views from the hill

      Cons

      Research can be tedious and soul crushing... but it's not Lawrence Berkely Lab's fault! The routes that the shuttle takes are no optimized in my opinion but this is a small issue

      Pros

      They have pretty good benefits and good internal administration. They have an abundance of projects and opportunities for you to seek out in case you want to do any career movement. The pay is pretty good, especially if you can start working here as a student and work your way up.

      Cons

      The independent labs are pretty far apart and due to the nature of some projects, things can be a little hush-hush. They could instill more sense of community since so many people are employed here.
