Buried in bureacracy

Pros

Great benefits, unreal job security

Cons

Way too much effort trying to reinvent processes which only adds more processes. Rather unprofessional Finance groups...long tenured employees are not open to any ideas. Mid-management is way too comfortable, incredibly gossipy, believers in intimidation tactics and employees are managed more by arriving and leaving on time, than their performance. No career mentoring. Thinking seems to be you stay in the job where you were hired until retirement.

Pros

You have the opportunity to work on some of the most cutting edge research in the world with some of the world's leading scientists.

Cons

The compensation for summer interns is nowhere near comparable to that for summer interns working at companies in the industry.
