      Great people, genuinely care about Safety on site

      Cons

      - No WFH/Hybrid working - Lack of resource, people leaving and LOR now unattractive to work for which is putting more pressure on staff they have got to help deliver jobs - Salaries are poor and below market rate - No bonus scheme - The wrong people are being promoted - Bullying on site - Micromanagement

      No benefits to working here whatsoever.

      Racism and bullying is rife at this company. Covert racism towards me by supervisors who from day 1 made work life a misery. Thought because of skin colour I was no good at my job. Supervisors are incompetent, as well as racist. Very cliquey - it’s not what you know it’s who you know. Literally

      Pros

      If you are able to join as part of the graduate program, they appear to really look after you. Graduates seem to get good training and an accelerated career path, as well as access to the inner circle.

      Cons

      Laing O’Rourke is a very large company and there is a definite feel of being a very small cog in a massive machine. There is definitely a case of certain employees being treated better than other, and it’s not based on anything professional. I had also recently changed divisions within Laing O’Rourke, where I had been promised a pay rise and a better position. After 7 months, the company went back on that on that promise, against the recommendation of my line and area managers.
