      JNJ deserves its reputation as a great company to work for, but its not because of the consumer businesses.

      Pros

      Great brands; despite crazy hours & demands, and multiple people to answer to and review decisions with, some really smart people; access to the larger network of JNJ companies (200+ separate companies) and jobs

      Cons

      A sweatshop; the consumer businesses are still trying to find their way, the one way that will work, and are still struggling with their recent acquisition of Pfizer's consumer business; good luck trying to find some one to mentor you... you're on your own

      Not bad place for Work-Life Balance

      Pros

      Work life balance is great! Flexible work hours which enable you to either work from home or in the office. Free gym and classes available to employees as well! There is a sense of working for the greater good when working in this company, and so there is pride when working.

      Cons

      There can be some internal politics, as it can be tough to work with people outside of your own department. At times you can feel as if you are just one in a cast of thousands.....and so recognition of your achievements can be far and between.
