Pros

The pros were plenty during my first five years here (professional development opportunities, unlimited PTO, etc), but most of those benefits have been phased out. Remote will always be a pro, however, I'll say that much.

Cons

Environment is so toxic now – management is poised to throw ICs under the bus instead of assisting them when issues arise, even to the point of refusing to collaborate on a solution. They would rather document a failure than solve for the actual business need.

Pros

It's still an ok place, there are many others much worse. They try to look like they care about our wellbeing. That's still a pro considering many companies have given up even on that. - Remote work - Good tech stack and internal tools - AI tools - Free good food in Dublin office

Cons

We're losing perks every year. They posted on LinkedIn that it was time for our favourite perk again, the week of rest for everyone, but that was cancelled this year! They started a "performance culture" which leads to unknowing Product Managers creating more useless spreadsheets for tracking progress, and asking more questions in every meeting just to seem like they're doing something productive instead of waisting everyone's time. - Poor planning across the board - Complex business logic that is not conveyed well and not at all documented - Poor software architecture prone to breaking other teams every week.

We’ve seen the feedback on our recent post about Week of Rest and appreciate the chance to clarify. This year, we made a shift — instead of a shared, company-wide break, we offered employees more flexibility to take time off when it made the most sense for them and their teams. Many still chose to take that same week to recharge, but our post didn’t reflect that change as clearly as it could have. We know how important time off is — for rest, mental health, and showing up as our best selves. We’re glad so many HubSpotters were able to unplug, and we’re deeply appreciative of those who continued supporting our customers and colleagues during that time. We’ll be more mindful moving forward to make sure what we share publicly reflects the full picture. You can always learn more about our benefits, including Flexible Time Off on our Careers Site: https://www.hubspot.com/careers/benefits Thanks for sharing your feedback and all that you do.

Pros

- pays the bills - coworkers are nice

Cons

- strange architecturally, a platform based on a non-relational datastore with thousands of services - has two CTOs, one a sleepy mascot obssessed with AI, and the other obssessed with tracking dev metrics and also with devs using AI
