Pros

-Great culture -My manager & Director in DACH Sales -Great colleagues -Pay and benefits (stock etc.) -Flexible working hours -No micromanagement (my manager was exceptional though)

Cons

-Sales targets in SMB are completely unrealistic as the average deal size is very small. SMB target is only 500 USD away from Mid Market targets and they have a much bigger deal size -Overworking bc of unrealistic targets (50-80 hours a week is normal) -High staff turnover bc of the targets -Sadly I was let go after not being able to get off my PIP. I can understand in a way, but it was the only time in my entire career that I really loved to come to work for someone else and I am sad that only numbers count, not engagement, education, experience and the overall person - however, it's Sales, I get it. I will miss HubSpot, but not the pressure of reaching this crazy target in SMB

Pros

HubSpot is a great product and people love it, if you get the right company on the phone it largely sells itself. Decent amount of inbounds to. Leadership is mostly decent people, they aren’t super fast to fire if you’re struggling.

Cons

SMB is a grind. Our quota is 70-100% HIGHER what it is at our competitors and we make the same or less money. Most of your accounts don’t have a dedicated CSM, a lot of small single person businesses only are interested in Starter tools (<1% of your quota) so you have to spend a lot of time on stuff that isn’t getting you to quota. Overcrowded market to (400+ SMB reps and hiring) so it’s tough to find good accounts.
