Pros

"unlimited" vacation...… this is nice when it's actually approved. the people are the best thing about this company. However, all of the good people are leaving.

Cons

Been here for almost two years now. I came in on the merger process when Honeywell was taking over. I always though of Honeywell as a great company to work for until I worked for them. Benefits changed drastically and the 401k is not as good as it used to be; they actually hold it until the end of the year to give you the match which allows them to collect interest on it. Hiring freezes which keep employees from seeking other opportunities within the company. Recently learned that Honeywell furloughs people at least once a year for a few weeks even if your branch of the company is profitable. There is no work/life balance at this company. They preach separating your work from your home life but how is that expected when you are working long weekends and away from your family for weeks on end. It would have been nice to take this job knowing that there is a potential to be furloughed .

Honeywell is ruining Intellgrated

Pros

The foundation of Intellgrated fostered an environment where the company could thrive. The old employees that have remained are wonderful colleagues.

Cons

Honeywell is a cutthroat corporate entity. Intellgrated just got put on furlough despite exceptional profits and propping up Honeywell for the past 2 years. Just last week the Honeywell CEO, Darius Adamczyk, was one of the signatories on the Business Round Table pledge to not focus solely on shareholders. It was clearly just lip service.

Pros

The people you work with really make or break your job. The people here are absolutely amazing, and somehow everyone keeps everyone going even through the worst of times. The teamwork abilities and determination of my teammates is what is keeping me here.

Cons

You're "forced" to work over 40 hours a week (it's at 12% overtime right now) with no overtime pay. By forced, I mean you can work less but it will be held against you during mid/end year reviews, when you're trying to get promoted, or move groups. It's seen as a negative aspect if you're not working that ~45 hours or more. Health insurance isn't very good at all, and raises at the end of the year aren't higher than 2-3%, and that's if you're lucky. The moral is very very low because of how the company treats the employees, and that drives a lot of people to other companies and to retire earlier than planned. The process of getting promoted is very difficult as well. You have to wait for your manager (and other higher ups) to open up a job req, you have to apply, fully interview, and be "selected". Promotions don't happen very often so people just leave the company or move groups to move up. People who transfer into the company from other companies also get paid 5-15k more than someone in the same position that's been at the company from the start so there's a large pay gap between people doing the same jobs.
