It starts off great but it will go downhill rather quickly. There is no clear structure or organization behind the scenes and most leaders are inexperienced folks that have been at the company for years and have gotten promoted too quickly, and premature promotions continue to happen. That said, it is mainly the leaders of the company that make the employee experience rather negative and toxic.
Leaders will gaslight you, lie, and provide you with empty promises. Favoritism is very prominent and it will become very obvious. Leaders also enforce unfair business practices within teams and no interest in hearing feedback, it’s very much their way or the highway. They are very much just trying to keep up appearances and do minimal work, rather than prioritizing the needs of their team. People are leaving left and right, while still hiring for many roles and it’s clear they are scrambling to figure things out.
All of this, in addition to below market pay, is not worth the toll this environment will take on your mental health.
