      Pros

      Great team and culture fit. Everyone is very passionate , driven and energetic. Room for growth and expanding at a fast pace. Situated in Technoparc , easy to get to. Modern building with a bistro, gym and free coffee on every floor at anytime. Gaming area to take a break with your colleagues and play video games. Casual dress code every day and yes even to wear jeans. Very innovative team that can share ideas and be part of an exciting time as the company grows.

      None that come to mind other than working towards being able to work remote

      Pros

      - Management cares about the wellbeing of the employees - Awesome work colleagues for the most part - Amazing bistro food, although less relevant in a work from home environment though - Lots of opportunity to learn

      Cons

      - The core platform/product has become extremely bloated and difficult to maintain. Developers loathe working on it. - The company is too eager to please customers and deliver whatever they ask for even when it is completely unreasonable. I have lost count of how many one-off initiatives for specific customers the company has chosen to do. - Recent new projects have either been rushed, lacked direction, or a combination of both. This is mostly an upper management problem. I could not stress how demoralizing this is to the engineers working on these projects. - Exodus of top talent

      A great enthusiasm for mobile technologies

      Pros

      Genetec has a very strong technical culture. - Mobile technologies are the center of attentions, there is a strong will to do native apps the right way, - As a mobile developer, your ideas will be carefully listened to - The company is attached to technical best practices as much for the backend as for the front end - There is a will to expand the mobile team, while always promoting the mix and increase of skills - Benefits are great (vacations, technical trainings, insurance, ...) If you are a mobile developer for whom best practices are important, this is definitely a place to consider.

      Cons

      The native mobile team is still young in the company, but being part of a new team is very exciting.
