      Pros

      GSK is a large company with many benefits and opportunities. There is good support from a variety of teams for the employees. The pay at GSK is very high.

      Cons

      The decisions are shortsighted and tactical. There is a lack of alignment between words and actions. There is not a clear process for prioritization. There are many silos which complete for resources and leaders who seek individual/team gain. All of these behaviors derive from the senior leaders or are a result of a lack of clear accountability for decisions.

      Pros

      Great people. Great talent. On paper things are good. Good benefits, vacation, year end shutdown.

      Cons

      Bad leadership. Too many redundant initiatives and not always sure who owns what or why. Favorite employees get promoted. Otherwise it’s almost impossible to move from a grade 7 to a 6. Been trying for about a decade - with good year end reviews each year, so at this point I’m close to giving up and leaving - despite how much I actually enjoy my role. I report to someone less experienced and less qualified than me - and see less experienced, capable and qualified people given opportunities - my 1:1 discussions are good but my manager has never been able to articulate exactly what gaps I’m missing that others don’t have. Very frustrating.

      * Good preventive medical care policy *30 annual leaves and 15 sick leaves * Loan provison for vehicle * upto INR 15000 club membership reimbursement

      Cons

      * Heavily unionised work environment *management still expects us to deliver output after empowering unnion members * People working in same plant for 15-20 years and doesn't allow new recruits to progress, heavy politics
