Good place to work but low pay

Pros

You are told to be full of energy and you have to be happy. You are allowed to talk about non work subjects just as long as you are working.

Cons

The pay is minimum wage with raises nothing to dance about.. I'm looking for something else just because of the pay. 8/hour.

This place is a Joke

Pros

Fast Paced, lots of "opportunity", good training videos, many different areas to work in

Cons

Where do I begin? Well, hours are something you've got to fight to have. You will never get a 40 hour week, because you WILL get sent home. For instance, getting there by 4, and leaving by 6. On top of that, you get your lunch within an hour of being there, sometimes 16 minutes after you clock in. Management butts heads really badly. No one listens to everyone else. The videos are a way to show how things are done, and things are NEVER done anywhere near that. If you're a good employee, you will be treated horrendously. They will expect you to fly to the moon and back. The pay is awful. No one works as a team, it's every man for themselves type of attitude. Schedules are done poorly, you never know what's going on. The schedule may change up to a day before the week starts.

Pros

Free meal for every shift worked. Tips are split based on hours worked and paid directly in cash. If you do very well in their system you get great bonuses. Direct interaction With upper level management.

Cons

Very hard and stressful work. I was there for a store opening and ended up pulling sixty hours in the first week. I also dropped about fifteen pounds of weight despite eating most meals there. The biggest issue that i had with the company was with store level management and their knowledge of local labor laws. Despite obvious violations and complaints from employees, there was no attempt to establish a knowledge of employment laws of my state. They also cut many hours back when business slowed and many people who were promised and hired as fulltime employees were cut back to less than twenty hours a week.
