Pros

Get to meet and work with interesting people. Tight knit group of employees. Easy manual labor and flexible schedule.

Cons

Low pay and long hours (especially for closing shift). There are better part time jobs out there.

Pros

We promote from within almost 100% of the time so hard work pays off. I was hired at 16 and became a manager at 18 but I have a strong work ethic. Free food! Secret shopper money WAS good until they changed the policy. It is now twice as hard to get money from that. Tips range from 2 to 15 dollars a night, depending on the store. It's fun! (as long as you have fun managers). Most stores are very clean!

Cons

Managers are forced to focus on LABOR, which means we have to send employees home when we are slow, despite what the schedule says. This naturally leads to controversy in the work place. Expectations are set way too high for ALL employees. We make the same as McDonald's employees yet we are held to MUCH higher standards. I would recommend for high school/college job, but beyond that, they don't pay you enough.

Pros

You do make tips at the end of every shift. They usually promote managers from the crew members so there is a chance to move up if you work hard.

Cons

It can get very hot standing by or near a hot grill all day. And you always leave smelling like a burger.
