Pros

Excellent pay and the friendships you make.

Cons

The low quality rating from Nissan is driving the direction of the company. Nissan changes the standards when their business is bad to get money from the suppliers.

HR controls everything in U.K.

Pros

Good training systems. Good work/life balance for my role but have noticed people in others having to put more work in with no overtime pay.

Cons

U.K. HR control everything to the point of the workplace feeling like a concentration camp. If you work in a plant you are treated like a child where clock ins are monitored by HR. Salaries are controlled fully by HR, the managers have little involvement with salary increases. Graduates who have to go on day release to university as part of the programme have to work the missed hours they spend at university back, graduates are unable to claim for fuel compensation for trips to university. Benefits for mid-management staff: pension. Nothing else. You don’t feel like an asset to the company you feel like an expense.

Pros

At least you are not unemployed!!

Cons

I work at the location in Saline and they hire incompetent individuals. Therefore, everyone is running around trying to figure out how to solve problems that they should already be knowledgeable in. If you are not apart of the click you do not get promotions. People are given leadership roles but lack the people skills, experience, and ability to motivate and lead a team. No training is given to supervisors or management in conflict resolution, communication, and how to deal with differences in the workplace. Therefore, they lack the professionalism needed to properly address their employees.
