Pros

Bellevue-great location, nice building. Great benny's. Flexible hours. Smart people. Great HR department. If you are a star or really good at what you do, doors will open.

Cons

To many re-orgs (IT dept). The best and the brightest seem to be leaving one by one. Morale is not what it used to be and know it's just for this location and department. It always feel like there is an emergency or fire to put out-chaotic.

Pros

Remarkably bright and enthusiastic people work at Expedia making it easy to go to work each day. The people there are passionate about what they do and love travel.

Cons

Unfortunately Expedia sees its people as line items in an expense report. Plus, it constantly hires from outside and reorganizes, eliminating any and all chances for promotion and development. There is a relentless focus on numbers and short term results. Expedia talks a good game, but its actions don't match its words and it is an extremely political organization. Every VP, every Director, likes nothing better to build their own empire and attack other parts of the organization. It's a company that would much rather make a single extra dollar than invest in its employees. Customers matter even less; there is a near singular focus on transactions, bottom-line results and hard-line negotiating tactics with suppliers.
