Safran Response
3y
The rebound of the business following the global pandemic has created talent retention challenges across the aerospace industry. At Safran, we have taken multiple proactive steps to address the retention and employee satisfaction of our workforce. For example, we use a flexible workforce and remote work schedule that is well appreciated by our engineering team.
People are treated very well at Safran. They might not be the highest paying Aerospace company in the USA, but they have great benefits, management, and people. And still, the pay is usually competitive.
Cons
The headquarters are in France and therefore you need to be open to a different culture. Additionally, French and English are used sometimes in communications.
Many learning opportunities for troubleshooting different types of avian generator control units.
Opportunities to work with a variety of engineering departments including production, test, quality, and industrialization.
Occasional overtime opportunities.
Cons
High stress due to production deadlines, especially at the end of month.
Miscommunications due to constant reprioritizing of needs.
Difficult to move from short term (1 year+ only) contracts to full time positions.
