Many individuals are placed into management positions without the leadership or people management skills needed to effectively support their teams. The business also lacks proper project planning and organisation. Projects regularly fall behind schedule, which creates a culture of panic decision making and constant firefighting rather than structured, proactive management. Pay is poor compared to similar roles within the industry, especially considering the workload and expectations placed on employees.
