Pros

Let me think....I’ll get back to you on that one! It’s not very many pros! The organizational culture is so toxic that it has eroded anything positive!

Cons

This is a warning to any serious sales professional thinking about joining this company, please don’t! During this review I will use the words “allegedly” and “suspected” to save myself from any legal ramifications. This company is allegedly rigged up for the most senior advisors to sale the most vehicles. It has been suspected that sales managers have played favoritism with certain advisors by giving them the best leads. DriveTime entire sales process is nostalgic compared to its competitors. This company make its advisors work the whole deal from start to finish. It is a major distraction to worry about things that’s unrelated to selling vehicles. Also, since this company does not have a competitive advantage, they make the associates call a minimum of 50 customers a day. The sales managers are mere hall monitors that’s over paid! In lieu of developing DriveTime’s sales advisors, they send useless emails all day pressuring them to hit metrics. The sales advisors as well as managers have allegedly been robbing the owner of this company blind for years. Multiple advisors and managers are currently under investigation for fudging numbers and assisting customers with submitting fraudulent documents. This company will remain stagnant and will not grow as long as it have the “bad apples” there. To any potential true sales professional thinking about taking a job with this company, you have been warned!

At DriveTime, we are a business that prides itself in empowering our employees and giving them the tools and knowledge necessary to take ownership of their sales and to grow as leaders in the profession. At the same time, it is of utmost importance that all of our employees practice business in a way that is held to highest standard of quality and integrity. We appreciate you taking the time to leave your thoughts.

Pros

Great Company, Benefits and Team Members.

Cons

Too much change going on. Lack of appreciation from Upper Management. Don’t trust anyone that works there. A lot of back bitting to get to the top

Pros

You can skip out for an entire week out of the state on vacation (unpaid) and none of the managers will even have noticed that you were even gone - basically "no-call, no-show" for a whole week and they won't do nothing about it because management at that dealership doesn't care. Pretty cool perk on that end for a part time coordinator. As for the scheduling for a coordinator, you can show up when you want or not show up at all to work and not have to notify management about it. You don't even have to submit a schedule to them. Another cool perk.

Cons

This company is a cutthroat place to work for.Their motto is cheap pay for "great work culture". As a part timer and for all intent purposes this is a lackey's position, you don't get bonuses, pay raises or even yearly work reviews. It's the most thankless job in the entire company. They don't include you in the meetings, usually you are the last one to hear about anything. Major lack of communication on their part. They go through a lot of employees at the dealership in Mesa. Management is absolutely terrible there. As a dealership coordinator they don't even notice you're there. For instance, you can get pigeonholed into one task. Doing two-a-days out on the 101 Freeway 8 hours a day, 4 days a week for an entire year. Plus, if you come into this company thinking that you're going to work for this company and its going to help you enhance your integrity you're mistaken. You will lose your integrity working for them. For instance, as a part time Dealership Coordinator management will not grant your 45 hours PTO that you have earned and you lose all it at the end of the year but you can skip out for an entire week out of the state on vacation (unpaid) and none of the managers will even have noticed that you were even gone - basically "no-call, no-show" for a whole week and they won't do nothing about it because management at that dealership doesn't care. Pretty cool perk on that end for a part time coordinator. As for the scheduling for a coordinator, you can show up when you want or not show up at all to work and not have to notify management about it. You don't even have to submit a schedule to them. Another cool perk. You have VERY little exposure to the customers. Try to think of this job as being self employed where there is no accountability on your part and it's the lowest position in the company which means you are off the grid pretty much except when they need a trade done once in a blue moon. As a coordinator, its hard to be in one place because you are everywhere. The "Jack of All Trades" is a gimmick that simply states that you will have the most thankless position in Drive Time that you are going to be pigeonholed into one simple task, picking up cars and testing them.
