Pros

Has the potential to be a nice environment but the clique-ish culture prevents that. Also lack of movement within so there is not much opportunity for advancement. Nice to start your career but not develop further.

Cons

Same repetitive work everyday and no challenges. Also they only promote individuals who are in the clique if you know what I mean. Get ready to kiss up everyday and do not dare speak up or make suggestions to implement effecient change, that will only go against their culture.

We're sorry to hear that these were your takeaways from your experience at DriveTime. As an organization, we are recognized for our opportunities for internal growth and the number of individuals who are able to elevate their careers with us. Within Recruiting alone, we have seen eight individuals get promoted in the last twelve months. This allows us to constantly welcome new and different ideas and perspectives into our cross-functional teams and leadership roles. We do appreciate your feedback and wish you the best as you move forward.

Pros

It's easy to pretend to work and make a check from it.

Cons

- No HR department!!! -OT required- regardless of your responsibilities outside of work (children, personal schedule, etc). Not just in the "peak season". -Leadership/Upper Management is clearly a good 'ol boys club. Rarely will you see new faces or women included in these teams. The same people get moved around repeatedly in to new roles, no outsiders. -If you aren't a Manager level or above you are essentially just an employee number who is replaceable. -If you wish to keep a job here you should blend in to the crowd, don't ask questions and don't offer new ideas. - DriveTime "culture" is thrown around quite a bit but it just means you stay in line and don't all out things that need to be addressed.

Uncertain future for the "boy's club" at DriveTime.

Pros

I stayed for as long as I did because of my amazing immediate coworkers! Good place for people looking to start in a new career/industry or for short term employment. "Millennial driven" culture with lots of team building events throughout the year.

Cons

Not a lot of growth opportunities for women. I'd say 80%+ of upper management is male. It's very clear this lack of female leadership is deep rooted in "DriveTime's Culture". (An expression frequently used to excuse poor management decisions). DT pays below average for most of their departments and yet still cannot avoid major company wide layoffs. The future and success of DT is very unstable. The owner is very set on selling the company, either as a whole or piece by piece. I would not suggest looking to DT for long-term employment.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback and ideas with us. As an organization, we understand and appreciate the value that diversity of thought, perspective, ideas, and backgrounds brings to a company's culture and are always looking for opportunities to add more diversity to our employee and leadership teams. We are disappointed to hear that this was not your experience.
