Toxic leadership that has poisoned the culture

Pros

Great benefits/perks, casual dress code, hybrid/remote flexibility. Competitive pay

Cons

Never in my life have I worked for an organization with such terrible leaders…Ranging anywhere from yelling at individuals, harassing people for asking questions/ saying the wrong things, being set up for failure, manipulation, blatant lying, singling people out for no apparent reason, and trashing colleagues behind their back. What’s even more sad is that countless people talk about it but nothing changes. This behavior stems from one particular individual but it has trickled down over time and seems to have rubbed off on their subordinates. The immaturity in the organization is apparent as you constantly overhear gossip. Conversations that should be held privately are done out in the open. On top of that, no one has a clue what’s going on and they just seem to laugh about it. Everyone is always confused in meetings and you’ll end up talking in circles. That is…if they show for the meeting since punctuality and common courtesy is a joke here. You’ll get laughed at if you even mention the word training…there is no such thing. If you are okay turning a blind eye to toxic and unethical behavior, you’ll be okay. But if you have a soul, run and never look back.

Pros

Culture and events are the main reasons why anyone stays.

Cons

Some of the most unprofessional, corrupt, and ignorance I have ever witnessed in senior leadership. The culture is highly rated because they know how throw great parties for employees. However, just like any other corporate environment- they really don’t value talent and Directors are clueless on what success looks like unless their name is taking the credit. Also, the pay is horrible- for any role. You will be paid substantially less than anyone else at your level in your industry. Leadership are completely out of touch with the current market value for most roles. Bottom line, once you’re in you can expect to be undervalued and underpaid.

Pros

Not a bad place to start your career. If you are willing to move to Phoenix, you may have a shot at some work life balance.

Cons

Retail stores have gone lean, saving the company while requiring more hours from current management. Pay has decreased with an increased work load. Managing morale is half the battle.
