Pros

Can work without a manager breathing down your back. Get to drive any car on lot

Cons

First 6 cars you sell don't get commissions, if your good at selling cars you would make more in traditional sales

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience on here and that you would recommend us as a employer. Over the 5-7 years that you worked with us, you probably saw some changes, as we are always trying new things to improve the lives of both of customers and employees. We increased the base salary to stabilize the Customer Experience Guides' take home pay, so there is less fluctuation month to month, and also helps us focus on the customer's needs - not just a commission check. While this might not work for all sales positions out there, we are strong supporters of a team-based bonus approach. We work hard together and we win together! We hope your time with us prepared you for your next career move!

Thank you for leaving your review. We love to see that you've spent 5+ years with us, and we hope you continue growing your career with DriveTime. We are happy to provide coaching, training, and development to our employees which help lead to promotions. Our promotions are based on various factors, and favoritism is not one of them. Our retail teams work extra hard to serve our customers, and the 4-day work week is just one small way to help maintain a healthy work/life balance.

Thank you for sharing your experience and that you recommend Drivetime as an employer. We love that you have spent 4 years with us, and we hope that you spend at least another 4 years growing your career with DriveTime! We recognize that the work days our long, but it is for good reason - there are plenty of leads to follow up on, many customers to help, and so many cars to sell! Given the large workload, we structured the team-based sales approach and bonus to help alleviate any pressure that comes with individual commissions. We hope you have continued success in your role!
