Pros

- many opportunities to grow within the company - company trainings - easy access to new positions (as the fluctuation/migration of the employees elsewhere is great) - young employees (mostly people in their twenties, management in their thirties) - fun and relaxed environment among co-workers

Cons

- job workload (smart people get to gain much more responsibilites than their lazy/dumb colleagues) - the management cuts down the employees' number to save up company's expenses....people get more tasks, thus staying over (unpaid) - management tracks down people's working hours and calculates inaccurate time-planning for each of the tasks in order to load more work upon individual while hiring less people - the salary is not very competitive - even though a person grows within the company, their salary options are pretty limited - the communication with the UK management is somewhat unequal: the Czech stuff is expected to deal with the queries urgently, while UK collegues would not answer emails/skype messages for weeks! - KPIs are based on query solution upon which a co-operation with UK colleagues is expected; sadly in many cases most of the time is spent on "chaser" emails & escalating queries further (and hoping to get somebodÿ's attention)

Thank you for your comment, we appreciate your opinion. We are sorry you experienced inequality and unfair allocation of workload when working with us. This matter is currently being addressed as we try to separate individual contribution to the overall team performance so that underperforming individuals don’t take credit for work done by best performers. Of course, we are a support centre for our end markets which defines the nature of our jobs. Our commitment to service excellence and continuous effort to deliver top quality is a very difficult work but it’s the only way we, as the Dixons Carphone Centre of Excellence, can secure a safe place within our company. And even more so when we see that our colleagues in other parts of our organisation demonstrate very different or more relaxing attitude. Regarding the benefit package (salary, bonuses, plus other benefits), we make sure we are staying competitive and constantly calibrate ourselves against the market. Our effort is to be an employer of choice on the local job market and we are continuously re-assessing ourselves so that we provide both competitive salary as well as a long and fulfilling career path opportunities to our employees.

Pros

Staff members are lovely. Can't say much. About the senior management tho. Made some new friends and got along with everyone in the store I worked in.

Cons

Don't work for this horrible company. It's one of the worst retail company to work, for pay was never right. If you do over time it's paid four weeks later. My advise if you're working at Currys check the hours you work because the HR Department will try not to pay you right. HR Department is useless with no help and no sign of helping employees that work there. Your made to trick or force sell KPI which customers don't need. Team leaders and managers are forceful and unhelpful. Long hours of standing and only 30 minutes break. Whoever thought of that rule clearly hasn't worked in retail.

Pros

Good colleagues, 10% staff bonus. Generous holiday entitlement. There really isn't much else I can say that's good about working there!

Cons

Constant pressure to achieve ever increasing sales targets. Minimum wage with possible quarterly bonus which is not guaranteed. Long shifts and only half hour lunch breaks.
