      I worked with some awesome people.

      Cons

      I worked at Cummins for over 30 years. Every 3-4 years there would be a big lay-off of people. This year 2000 were walked out the door. About 9 months later, we would start hiring again. This cycle repeated itself every 3-4 years.

      Easy work, work life balance, nice small town

      Cons

      Collaborative workspace causes constant distraction, zero privacy, toxic bosses, company is obsessed with social engineering and progressive political causes. Senior management has no vision, the Company is wasting a lot of money on senseless acquisitions and not growing. The business prospects are questionable with the phase-out of combustion engines in the long-run. Employees are taught to not think, but to do like robots. Any form of creative problem solving is discouraged and "group think prevails".

      The compensation is above average only if you have tenure.

      Cons

      If you have tenure, watch your back and every move you make. They look for any simple reason to cut you loose to bring $$$ to the bottom line. Almost 26 years of a career washed away in a few seconds...………...not even a "verbal" warning received for anything in almost 26 years...….rascals they are, I tell you.
