Pros

- safe and predictable work environment (even if you are working from home) - you can spend your life at this company if you are not very ambitious - small and close work community, great people to lend you a helping hand each and everytime

Cons

- If you manage to get to close to becoming a Director or above , you will start noticing the nepotism and the camaraderie - there's random layoffs and firing every 2 to 3 years - in the name of diversity, you may fall behind in the rat race as compared to someone will less knowledge and experience - they don't have a clue about their business continuity as the decline in ICE (diesel) starts - laggards in alternative fuel or technology, been encashing diesel for a 100 years now

Pros

Great people to work with

Cons

Due to corporation transformation, company is focusing more on metrics rather than taking care of current employees and their customers.

Pros

There are some genuinely great people here, but.....

Cons

This environment will treat you like a tool rather than an employee. People getting laid off without any care in the world. Human Resources neglecting majority of issues. Management in almost every department treats their employees horribly and does the bare minimal of their job. This job is social which leads to a lot of favoritism and biases. If you want a higher up job; be friends with someone higher up regardless of experience, education or performance. It has overtime become a very toxic environment. Mistreatment, gossip slander is usually not dealt with by HR and management because again not doing the basic level of their jobs. I have had several people crying in front of me because they got laid off without warning or another employee or management verbally abuses them. Remember at Cummins, Fridley you don't matter unless you matter.
