Pros

Decent salary and benefits. Culture is young enough that you can make changes where you might want to help.

Cons

Culture is young there are a few odd egos floating around the company that make things weird. They let me go saying it was performance based without telling me why or without any warnings. Sales team came off as arrogant and ignorant, when I tried to help lean into our strengths they were hurt.

Thank you for your feedback. At Contentsquare the people team is a part of every termination process to ensure we are transparent and doing the best we can for all parties in an already difficult situation. But we will continue to work to improve our process and our enablement programs. Although everything is not perfect, we will continue to invest heavily in both the enablement of our team and processes. But we are definitely appreciative of your feedback and we will continue to strive to improve our enablement

Pros

Some good people but see below

Cons

They have made detrimental hires for sales and sales leaders in the past. CEO does not listen to anyone. LOTS of internal fighting and gossip.

Pros

There are some great people in the business who go out of their way to help you. The company has a great outward reputation which helps to disrupt the competition with high profile events etc

Cons

Merger between Hotjar, Heap and Contentsquare handled very poorly. Multiple layoffs in the business with re-hiring for the same roles just 6-months later. Company is disorganised and tries to operate as a much larger SaaS organisation would but without the experience and team necessary to do so. Unrealistic growth plans with very few reps hitting quota. Product is a nice to have so constant battles around customer retention and paranoia that competition will infiltrate accounts. Leadership team is a "boys club" with a lot of people hanging on in hope of an IPO rather than being in their role due to merit. This results in management who are there for the wrong reasons and virtually no progression path for any individual contributors. Very little diversity represented within the management team also. Micromanagement, favouritism, internal politics and a complete lack of empathy displayed daily in the UK sales team.

Thank you for your review and highlighting your peers. We did make the tough decision to reduce our workforce back in January, however, the RIF was a strategic move aimed at ensuring the company’s sustainability and long-term financial health. Regarding individual contributors' progression, we offer personal development planning and maintain transparent career path frameworks to support employees’ professional development. We also have both internal mobility and international relocation policies in place. We are sorry about the work environment you describe, we will share your feedback with the relevant HRBP for Sales to address these concerns.
