Pros

Big Brand name in the insurance industry Very stable company CEO is a veteran in the industry and comes from a family of insurance tycoons Lot of opportunity to modernize in the technology world Director and above get decent pay with Base Pay, Bonus and Stocks.

Cons

Information Technology overall and the Information Security Team overall is very very resource crunched. There seems to be no care from Executive Management about the lack of Work Life Balance and employee burnout. No special care event was organized by the company during the pandemic. Rather employees are forced to return to office as soon as the numbers go down a little. Everyone is burnt out. Senior Management keeps talking about work life balance and culture in town halls, while nothing changes in day to day life. Clocking 50+ hours (avg 55 to 60 hours a week) is the norm. CEO doesn't seem to understand Technology or the importance of it, as is also evident from a recent conference speak. Chubb is not a preferred destination for niche technology talent, and the company is doing nothing to change that perception

Pros

401K, benefits ... not much

Cons

Terrible management that does not value staff, they are emotionally manipulative and purposely understaff. Use fear tactics and offer no support. Management stays in their own world with no innovation. No work life balance for little pay but high stress - you are getting paid significantly Less than competitors bc you work at “the Chubb”

Pros

The employees that you work with from day to day are always helpful to each other.

Cons

Like with many companies right now, staffing is an issue. However, this has been an on-going problem for some time, but management wants to make it seem like it is a new concern. They are doing a terrible job trying to fix the problem. Technology is TERRIBLE. They are constantly doing things to automate or make things easier - translation: getting rid of support personnel and putting more work on the examiners. This is why people have been leaving for years. There are career opportunities available if you are willing to be a "yes" person, do what management tells you to, smile all the time, brown nose, and never come up with different ideas or suggestions.
