Pros

Some of the people I work with are outstanding, but so many of them have left already or are a foot out the door. Salary is good, and in some roles better than market average. Figure out if you want to take your chance.

Cons

Gender discrimination running g rampant despite what social media will tell you. You're either with the Old Boys Club or you are done. If you dare to voice any opinion that is not in line with what thr fashionable behavior or buzzword is in a specific day, you are out. Like many other reviewers said, this is not a workplace that cares about employees wellbeing. Don't get suckered into the social media hype, bullying, sexism and discrimination run rampant and if you leave a decent job you will end up stuck here because you thought it's a good place. If you are neurodiverse or have a disability, run in the opposite direction. There is absolutely nothing positive or inclusive for you here. If you are looking for career growth, also don't bother. You will be stuck in a job where you have to justify your existence in the company to every new fresh wave of managers.

Pros

Breakfast and lunch in the office were a great perk and the team put some effort into the ad hoc special lunches/happy hours. The immediate team were excellent and delivered a high standard with very limited resources and direction. I wasn't particularly close to the product but it seemed that despite the unrelenting challenges, the techy type teams were delivering well.

Cons

Management and leadership are a sham. They look after their friends and number 1. With zero ownership and accountability, they make their mistakes and then pin it on whoever they want (even their own team). Either that or failures are somehow chalked up as wins when everyone on the ground can see just how bad it really is. You can't sugarcoat excrement. After multiple rounds of releveling, recruitment is still being driven to leadership and there's constantly someone new at the helm who is usually incompetent. Pockets of good leadership are few and far between. But if you're not friends with the top then don't expect any recognition. More than once someone in my team resigned after working over and above their role and their backfill(s) was advertised at a higher seniority. The communication is some of the worst I've ever expereinced despite non-stop feedback. On the topic of feedback, there's no point in giving it. Whether in quarterly (used to be monthly) engagement surveys or more direct, nothing is ever done. What leadership wants, leadership will make us implement. For all the talk of wanting to be a "data driven" department, decisions are made with no information to back them. The team's reputation is firmly in the gutter.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts here. It’s really great to hear about the lasting impression of our Workplace and Tech/Product teams. We’re really proud of their efforts this year, and agree that they have gone above and beyond in their delivery. Your comments about leadership are in direct opposition to the reality that we strive to uphold. We’re extremely sorry that was the impression you left with. Regarding communication and development, we couldn’t agree more. They are areas we are investing heavily in 2023. We always have room to improve. We wish you the best!
